Revenge is taken...MIssile sit down Rangers

At home, in front of 5 screaming fans, the Missile played a solid 2 halves of soccer to take home a 2-0 victory.

Even with Brent away for the night, the coaching staff made some tough calls that of course, worked out in the end.

The Missile will rest for the week and get ready for a game on Monday , Wednesday, and Friday!!!!!

Missile go over .500 and back into 3rd

The Missile played a strong game throughout and if it were not for outstanding goaltending in the AC net, the score would have been more than 2-0.
The D---Dale, Dave, Waldo, and Wade played outstanding without the leader Jim (serving a 1 game suspension).
The Mid's welcomed back Clay and Erin, and enjoyed strong play from Daryl, Davey, and Vinny. Forwards Simes, V, Roy, and Kev pressured and created many oppurtunities throughout the game.

The scoring was opened with Clay nailed a perfect shot past the goalie on a direct kick from 23.5 feet out. V hammered a shot that created a rebound and Rooy nailed the insurance marker for his 3rd of the season.

Great game a super job by Donnie.

Next match-up....Kenora tourney.

Mudial earn 3 points versus Missile

On "BRING YOUR OWN PAINT CAN NIGHT" Mundial came out with a 2-0 victory Friday night.

The Missile were playing without a record 5 regulars: jim, Sean, Clay, Dave, Dale...and moved many players into unfamiliar territory yet still held in there most of the game.
With about 20 minutes left in the game, Mundial capilized on one of only a couple defensive breakdowns and cracked a rocket past Don. Then, with 4 minutes left,`Mundial put the icing on the cake with a shot from 20 yards out that was perfectly placed into the far left side.
This now brings the Missile record to 3-3-1 with our next action Sunday night (7pm) at Grandmont Park in Richmond Park. Hopefully there will not be 3000 mosquitos every square inch on this field as was the case in Blumberg. Players still say they can hear the BIZZ in their ears.

When the game was complete, Brent, Terry , and Josh agreed that it was not the Missile's best game of the season, but that there were lessons learnt that will help us through the next few weeks.

Boni Vital get Boni Beat!!!!

Celebrity post------Dave Kostelnyk

We jumped out to a quick 1 - 0 lead when Wade chipped the ball over the goalie who came out to challenge him. No panic and a beautiful touch by Wade is how I would describe it. We then made it 2 - 0 when Erin sent a perfect corner kick into the middle of the 18 yard box where yours truly was standing and put it in on a one timer (off of Sean's shin pad). Sean was the only person who could have stopped that ball. They then made it 2 - 1 after a turnover from one of our throw ins. It wasnt pretty. I felt bad because I missed an easy header from a great throw in by Darryl. Terry was in net and got a piece of it as did Waldo I think, but there was not much anyone could do about it at that point. Terry played great in net for his first game this year as goalie. Our defence was outstanding again as usual. I sure wouldn't want to go against Hacksaw Jim, Wily Waldo, Speedy Dale, or Dave the Bull.

We then made it 3 - 1 (sort of). The ball was bouncing all over the place when Erin kicked the ball in off the post. However, it did not count becasue the ref felt it did not cross the line. I was right there and I saw it go in. The goalie was behind the goal line when he hit it out. Not to worry though because Simes made it 3 - 1 for real when he positioned himself perfectly against the defenders. He made a sweet move and put it in. Brent named Simes Player of the Game. The mid was awesome. Darrell, Sean, Wade, Erin, and Vinh kept feeding the ball to me and Simes the whole first half, which ended up 3 - 1 for the good guys.

We made some solid subs in the second half when Joe, Vince, Roy and Dave came in. We struggled a bit in the mid part of the second half and that is when they made it 3 - 2. A laser beam came in and Terry made a solid save.
It would have been difficult for anyone to hold on to that ball and unfortuantetly they got the rebound and put it in. Terry "Red Card" Maryk got a little upset with some of the players on the other team in the second half. But like a true professional, he regained his composure and played solid for the remainder of the game. Subs came in throughout the second half and we finished strong defensively with some offensive chances as well. I thought Joe moved the ball great. Jim and Sean were able to play the whole game and looked great doing it.

Anyways, it was good team victory and one the Captain would have been proud of.
Nothing but positive Missile attitude was out there.
